Artists Respond to the Mourning, Grieving and Fires on Lake Street
Explore OFFERINGS From Home
For Halloween 2020, forty artists had activated more than 30 outdoor pop-up works along Lake St. Their offerings held space for death, loss, grief, ancestors, and remembering for our Twin Cities communities that centered on the changes facing Lake St. BareBones is committed to further connecting you to this space by sharing this collection for you to experience from home. Delve into the videos, photographs and stories behind the 33 artworks.
Facilitated by Lelis Brito and Harry Waters Jr., this 27th annual project delivered a multifaceted collaboration in our present. “OFFERINGS is witnessed on a continuum, from the artist reflecting on their role in history as they make the work, to the people surrounding the artist and interacting intimately with their art, to the broader community encountering a finished expression.” Lelis Brito and Harry Waters Jr. Read a message from our co-facilitators and the OFFERINGS backstory.
