2022 Community Retreat
Join the BareBones Community for a day of two workshops and some important conversations about planning of the 2022 show.
Schedule for Saturday, April 9
1-2:30p The Imaginary Voyage (replacing the Ancestry Spoon Puppet Workshop with Kallie Melvin. Kallie’s workshop is postponed because, last minute, Kallie needs to tend to a loved one and beyond.)
2:45-4:45p community conversation about this year’s show etc
5-6:30p Movement Workshop with Arlys Alford and Arwen Wilder
The Imaginary Voyage: with Munir and Tara Fahey. This class is about DOODLE DRAWING in exploring the expression of your intuitive emotion from your inner guts. There are no limitations to create Beyond imagination of shapes and forms. You are in your own imaginary voyages, riding your creative energy—capturing your intuition, to be born and become visual reality (images/character, doodle or abstract). You might surprise yourself in figuring out the beauty of unconsciousness that translates within the union of your mind soul and physical body. We will provide the paper and use color-pencils as medium for the doodlings. You could bring your own watercolor or pen if you like.
Movement Workshop: with Arlys Alford and Arwen Wilder, exploring how our bodies move/dance through loss and new beginnings. This workshop is for EVERY body and all experiences welcome.
Attendees can go home afterwards or camp at the Center (please bring your own gear).
Carpools will be arranged. Please email [email protected] if you can offer a ride or if you need a ride.
- Activities will be outdoors (weather permitting) or indoors with masks, or distanced for eating.
- Vaccination or recent negative tests are requested but we will not require documentation of such.
