We hope you enjoyed our event El Grito De Los Ancestros/ The Cry of the Ancestors Festival! It was SO GOOD to see puppets on the streets of South Minneapolis again!
BareBones wants to thank you for supporting us through the years. Our premier event, the Annual BareBones Extravaganza is partially funded by a grant from the Metropolitan Regional Arts Council. The majority of our funding, however, has come from gate donations at our shows in the past. BareBones has never sold tickets, as we believe our annual ritual should be available to all. We responded during the pandemic to the destruction of our neighborhoods with show formats that didn't include a gate with in-person audiences, as we wanted to continue supporting artists and offer healing through art. BareBones spent down its reserves and we need your help to continue our tradition of bringing the community together to create, share, and hold space for the community for grieving!
Help us keep this vision alive by making a donation - of any size! There are a couple ways to give.
- Via PayPal
- Mail a check to: BareBones Productions, PO Box 7246, Minneapolis, MN 55407
See our letter to the community from one of our artistic directors, Mina Leierwood.
When submitting a donation, you have the ability to add a note with it. Our donors have often used this space to dedicate their donation in memory of a loved one or others whose passing they want to honor.
Donations of $45 or More
For donations of $45 or above, we will send you a complimentary "flag" (a screenprint on cloth). Our screen designs come from BareBones artists and are curated each show year to create merchandise and printed gifts for show participants. Designs are often based on the theme of that year's Extravaganza, and they are printed on a variety of recycled fabrics. They can be hung, framed, or even patched onto a jacket. A beautiful piece of local art. Normally a $15 value.
Please include the note "send a flag" in your donation submission, and we will send you an available print.
