Call for Co-Directors
Description
BareBones Productions is seeking to hire Co-Directors for the 2021 Halloween show. The co-directors are responsible for coordinating the overall artistic and pragmatic functions of the production and will work in collaboration with the BareBones Board, the production team, staff artists as well as act as a representative for the larger BareBones community. Applicants may apply as a team or individually.
Qualifications or Requirements
- One of the Co-Directors should have at least one year experience working or volunteering with BareBones Productions, including work on the Annual Halloween Extravaganza
- Strong communication skills
- Strong proficiency in Google Drive
- Strong organizational skills
- Arts administration experience
- Access to the internet and the technologies necessary to complete job
- Understanding of BareBones Board functions preferred
- Excellent time management
- Experience with mobile art projects preferred
- Must be adaptable and flexible
- Experience working in collaboration with artists and the BareBones community
Responsibilities Include
- Help to create a broad artistic vision for the 2020 BareBones experience
- Facilitate communication and guidelines for staff
- Coordinate and manage staff
- Hire Artistic Staff with help of Hiring Committee
- Work closely with and report to BareBones Board of Directors
- Attend board meetings on the second Tuesday of each month (currently online)
- Be the main line of communication for staff
- Facilitate meetings and workshops
- Help artists’ visions come together
- Connect artist to artist mentors and skill sharing
- Facilitate creative community engagement
- Work/attend all nights of the performance (dates TBD)
- Develop and adhere to all safety guidelines related to COVID-19 pandemic
As this is a temporary, independent contractor position, candidates are required to have their own access to materials and technologies necessary for the job.
