This was my first year with BB. I had just returned to the US after 2 years abroad, so I was squirming to adjust to life back "home" when Steve Moroukian asked me if I wanted to help out with a "shadow puppet show" for Halloween. That alone was interesting description enough for me to join. The shadows were just part of it, of course. The scale of everything was far beyond my simple image of a puppet show for this season.
Best memories of this year: Trashing Alison Heimstad's Great Whale Carcass (Sorry, Alison), flying the skeletal birds over the audience during Mark Rossow's "The Endless Spiral." Most of all, that 1st year with BB helped me get grounded back in MN with a new tribe of amazing folks.
