BareBones Artists

Lelis Brito is a Venezuelan-American director, choreographer, performer and educator of movement-theater who has worked for national and international venues for over 25 years. Lelis performed in Fleeced in 2008, and was co-director of Devoured in 2009.

Adam is one half of the Dolly Wagglers puppet company with Lindsay McCaw. He has also joined forces with the Winter Boxcutter Cabaret Tour, Grammas Saggy Jug Band, the Bread and Puppet Theater in Vermont, and the Barebones Halloween Show.

In 2004 Soozin returned from Vermont to continue to develop her own work and to nurture her relationship with BareBones Productions, a group she helped found sixteen years ago. She has co-directed, designed, and performed in various BareBones productions.

Loren was Prometheus as inventor, Sisiphus as performer, Apollo as the bringer of the sun, Lover in the truest sense of the word and a vital energy that this world needs to stay in balance. There are few who live life so well.

Lindsay is one half of the Dolly Wagglers puppet company with Adam Cook. She most recently joined forces with the Winter Boxcutter Cabaret Tour, Grammas Saggy Jug Band, the MayDay staff at In the Heart of the Beast, Bread and Puppet Theater in Vermont, and the Barebones Halloween Show.

Janaki makes big puppets and tiny puppets and loves shadow puppets and lighting effects. She has helped make the Barebones Pageant happen for several years.

Douglas Saldana strolled into a Halloween Build at Bedlam Theatre one night with a Halloween mix tape that instantly earned him a place in BareBones’ cadre. Douglas is a staple performer, builder, writer, researcher and dramaturge for BareBones and is occasionally borrowed by Bedlam Theatre for supporting roles in mainstage productions.

Maren co-founded Bedlam Theatre in 1993 and over the years has worked as an actor, director and administrator with the company and now plays the role of Co-Artistic Director. Maren has been co-director of the Barebones Halloween Show and a member of the Psycick Slutz a capella ritual performance ensemble since 1998.
